1. Overview & Objectives

The Trial Balance feature is designed to centralize and automate business records, enforce data validation, and provide real-time reporting for operations in Accounts & Finance. In TechoERP, all transactions and masters are built on top of audit-trail-enabled DocTypes ensuring transparency, security, and compliance.

2. Key Capabilities & Highlights

  • Automated Workflows: Built-in draft, approval, submission, and cancellation cycles with automated notifications.
  • Role-Based Access: Granular read, write, create, submit, and cancel permissions managed through the Role Permission Manager.
  • Custom Fields & Extensibility: Easily extend fields, custom scripts, and print formats without touching core code.
  • Real-time Analytics: Instant drill-down to General Ledger, Stock Ledger, and status summaries.

3. Step-by-Step Configuration & Usage

  1. Navigate to Module: In the TechoERP awesome search bar (Ctrl + K or Cmd + K), type Trial Balance or navigate via the Accounts & Finance workspace.
  2. Create New Record: Click the Add Trial Balance button to open the form in draft state.
  3. Fill Required Information: Complete the mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*). Verify dates, linked master records, currency, and financial dimensions.
  4. Save as Draft: Click Save to store the record in Draft state. You can attach supporting documents, notes, and tags.
